A Short Letter of Praising in the Waiting

You may find yourself in a beautiful season full of blessings, so evidently touched with the fingerprints of the Lord. This season may also be characterized by uncertainty and waiting. In such moments the Lord continues to faithfully meet us as we hide behind a wall of disappointment. Our thoughts dwell on the anxious unknown, while the Lord takes our hand and showers us with a peace transcending our understanding. Seasons like this are full of rejoicing in awe of the blessings, while laying down question after question of uncertainty. I’m finding that this season allows growth. Growth from worshipping in the waiting, and choosing to praise Him in the hurt because His blessings are infinite. Growth is found in surrendering the uncertainty and letting all striving cease. It is found in living moment to moment with our hand in His, allowing His uniquely authored story to unfold. All of the blessings in our anxious, uncertain waiting is an exact mercy. One that fills us with grace in depths we cannot fathom.

Psalm 63:1-5~ “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek You; I thirst for You, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You. I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name I lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise You.”

“I will, trust, here in the mystery
I will, trust, in You completely
Awake my soul to sing
With Your breath in me
I will worship
You taught my feet to dance upon disappointment
And I, I will worship”
