Moments

My toes find their way into the soft sand as I tie my salty curls.  The sea breeze fills the air as my favorite aromas of the sea fill my senses. It is in these moments we sit in reverence at the intimacy of our Father. Each moment, we are experiencing His fingerprints and the intricate and uniqueness of His sovereignty. I just really love the engagement of moments.

I find myself in ceaseless thankfulness as we can pursue the LORD, seek, thirst and yearn every moment. Sensitive to the intimacy He breathes upon us as we can feel His presence. But this particular morning as the waves break at my feet, the majesty of His splendor overwhelms me. My brokenness is infinite and I do not deserve one more second. But the LORD breathes life into my soul as He pursues me and I cannot fathom this river of life flowing within me.

This intimacy is unfathomable and glorious in every way, it’s boundless and divine. May I never lack sensitivity walking with my LORD. Even though all I am is a sheep so prone to stray from my Shepherd. As the morning breeze flows from the wake of His hand crafted waves, my heart overflows with thankfulness. My lips only desire to praise His name alone as I taste and see this precious gift He has lovingly lavished on us. The gift of experiencing His eternal, glorious, and precious hand in every moment of every day.

The sun is gradually setting on one of the most fruitful summers of growth. Growth was found in these precious moments. Moments full of fellowship and community, and moments sitting around a circle with grace-giving and love-sharing hearts. Moments of late night pillow-talking in the loft, moments with the one whom my soul loves, and moments over coffee full of friendship. These sweet sweet moments of spontaneity, full of the richness of Jesus with fellowship and love will linger in my heart. As the fall is approaching, anxieties rise uncontrollably. But this brokenness finds fullness in the intimacy of my Creator. This brokenness seeks the mercies of new moments to come. In His grace, there is no greater place.

O God, You are my God; earnestly I seek you;

my soul thirsts for You;

my flesh faints for You,

as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

2          So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary,

beholding Your power and glory.

3          Because Your steadfast love is better than life,

my lips will praise You.

4          So I will bless You as long as I live;

in your name I will lift up my hands.

Psalm 63:1-4
